Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a chronic condition of the digestive system characterized by acidic contents from stomach into esophagus. Surgical treatment offers long-term alternative to medications, providing symptomatic relief and improving quality life in many patients. However, potential risks complications associated with surgery must be considered, careful selection patients critical.
